You’ve asked therefore I give! Here’s a little bit from Trapped in My Dreams coming out in March.
“So, do you have any plans for this weekend?” It was an inane conversation starter but she was truly too tired to think of anything else.
Looking towards him again, she noticed his eyes were closed. He allowed a small grin to cross his mouth as he slowly shook his head against the wall.
“None that don’t include my briefcase and loads of documents to read,” he answered. He closed his eyes and didn’t lift his head.
She took the opportunity to study him. He was gorgeous. His light brown hair was slightly tousled as if he’d been running his fingers through it all day. How she wished it was her fingers. His mustache was neatly trimmed and looked so soft she wanted to touch it, to pet it like she would a kitten. She wondered how it would feel against her skin. She felt herself move slightly closer to him and noticed the small laugh lines around his eyes. They certainly didn’t detract from his good looks. In fact, he looked rough, and sexier than she’d ever seen him.
The shirt sleeves of his dove gray dress shirt were rolled up and revealed strong forearms. The shirt was taut against his upper arms and chest. His dark gray slacks hugged strong-looking thighs and one of the nicest asses she’d ever seen. She inhaled deeply in an effort to control her rapidly beating heart. But that turned out to be a mistake as his scent invaded her senses with full force and nearly brought her to her knees.
Suddenly, as if he sensed her scrutiny, he lifted his head, his eyes searching hers out. She realized how close she’d moved towards him. Close enough she could see the tiny specks of gold flickering in his eyes. Close enough she could reach out and touch him. She had to fist her hands to keep them from doing just that. She wanted to feel his hardness beneath the softness of her hands. She wanted to bathe in his scent; rub her body all over his like a cat marking him as hers - and her as his.

May your day be filled with all the love and romance of your favorite novel! And here’s a little visual love for all of you!

“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”

With the awesome announcement by Phil the Groundhog this past weekend that Spring will make an early appearance. It made me start dreaming abou the things I can’t wait to do when it gets warm enough.
1) Sitting on my deck, drinking coffee on Sunday mornings tops my list. Being stuck inside for the past two or three months has made me think about braving the cold just to spend 30 seconds breathing the fresh air of my back yard. I haven’t sunbathing in the snow yet, but, needless to say, the warm sun can’t get here soon enough.
2) Planting flowers in my garden is something I can’t wait for. I love digging in the dirt and planting flowers that provide color and fragrance throughout the spring, summer and fall. It’s so relaxing and very gratifying to see the beauty that is created and I know that my hard work did that.
3) We just bought a new car, and I super excited to use the sunroof. So that’s definitely number three! Tooling around with the sun beating down and the breeze blowing through…ah, I just can’t wait.
I’ve lived in the Midwest my whole life; I know the winters are long and dreary. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it! Spring can’t get here soon enough for me.
